Counting down to the grand opening of the Efteling Grand Hotel

After months of meticulous craftsmanship, the massive clock tower and gilded zinc roof spires of the Efteling Grand Hotel now grace the skyline of Kaatsheuvel. With 143 rooms and suites, guests will be able to look out onto the lake of Aquanura and the canopy of the Fairytale Forest from their private balconies. The subterranean swimming pool, adorned with Roman arches and celestial light lanterns, is entering its final tiling phase, while chefs at Brasserie 7 are putting the finishing touches on their seasonal menus.

Unraveling the darkest secrets of the Huyverwoud and Danse Macabre

When the Spookslot abbey crumbled, it gave birth to the dark heart of the Huyverwoud. The unique Intamin dynamic turntable ride system moves 108 riders simultaneously in 6 choir stalls, floating, rising, dropping, and tilting with 3 degrees of motion as the orchestra rises from the abyss. Our sound designers recorded a 75-piece philharmonic orchestra to deliver an acoustic resonance unlike anything ever engineered in an amusement park.

A Sustainable World of Wonders: Towards zero-emission fairytale magic

Efteling's commitment to nature dates back to its 1952 founding in the Brabant countryside. Today, the park utilizes an Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) system to heat and cool accommodations without fossil fuels. Rainwater collected across 70 hectares is filtered through natural reed ponds to supply the water for Aquanura and the park's canals, ensuring that modern excitement harmonizes in balance with wild flora and fauna.
